Strathmore High School's (SHS) Drama 20 and 30 class is getting set to put on a production of Footloose.

"It's about a young gal; her dad is a priest, and then there's a new guy who comes to town, and he's like, what do you guys do for fun? Like, there's nothing to do around here. They don't sing, they don't dance, they don't do anything fun. It is an interesting tale, and they end up having a gigantic dance party at the end," explained Stage Manager and Grade 12 student at SHS, Adrianna Kiemeny.

Kiemery explains that the production started in early February.

"We have a live band. It's going to be epic. We've been working all semester for this."

According to Kimery, the show has been coming along quite nicely.

"I think we need a little bit of work, but overall, it's coming along, so I think it'll be pretty good."

Tickets cost $10 at the door.
