EPCORE Canada will conduct a Unidirectional Flushing (UDF) service in Strathmore later this month.

This is where they flush the water mains to remove sediment and maintain water quality.

According to the Town of Strathmore, the Town flushes approximately 25 per cent of its mains annually.

However, this routine was skipped in 2023 due to drought concerns.

"As Alberta drought worries persist into 2024, only critical areas are being flushed to safeguard the quality of the water supply and prolong the lifespan of our water mains," it stated on the Town of Strathmore's Facebook page.
