Mounties said that a vehicle crashed into a storefront in Chestermere over the weekend as the result of the driver pressing the gas pedal instead of the brake.
No injuries were reported as a result of the collision.
It was not immediately clear if the store in question, La Diperie, a specialty ice cream and dessert shop was reopened on Monday.
